Pay No Respect - Moving On Review

UK hardcore merchants 'Pay No Respect' return with 'Moving On', a 6 track EP that delivers on the promise of their previous release, last year's 'Fear Profits Man Nothing'. We felt that they were always good, but needed to develop their sound a little in order to step up to the next level, and are delighted to report that they haven't let us down.

This is a release is a great example of everything that a hardcore album should be. It's loud, and angry for sure but there is more to it than that. This is clearly a band that knows how to write a tune, and by god they know how to deliver too.

There is just something about the way everything hangs together that makes this release stand out, and the result is fast, heavy and vicious. The delivery never drops far below ferocious and you should check out the tracks 'You Failed' and particularly 'Moving On' for some classic punch-in-the-face hardcore brutality.

It's often difficult to get an idea of what a band will be like live from their recorded music but based on this offering I'll put money on these guys being quite an experience.

At the momwnt we live in interesting musical times. It is really good to see UK music advancing on all fronts with great bands flying the flag in almost every genre, and when it comes to traditional hardcore 'Pay No Respect' will take some beating.
